Shannon Mayo
Shannon Mayo is an Account Manager at ACS Quantum Strategies, LLC (ACS) headquartered in Sacramento, California. ACS specializes in public affairs, media relations, strategic planning and marketing services.
Prior to joining ACS, Shannon worked as a public relations coordinator at Sharp HealthCare, a non-profit health care delivery system serving San Diego County. She was responsible for writing internal and external communications, including press releases, magazine articles, public relations activity reports and internal memorandums. As the photo editor of Experience Sharp magazine, Shannon conceptualized photo shoots and coordinated schedules with photographers, physicians, nurses, employees and business executives.
Prior to working at Sharp HealthCare, Shannon was an editorial intern at Copley News Service, a newswire service and features syndicate headquartered in La Jolla, California. She composed a weekly business column printed in a number of publications, including The San Diego Union-Tribune, The Sacramento Bee, The Canton Repository and The Register-Mail. Additionally, she was responsible for editing a variety of feature stories and editorial cartoons for spelling, grammar and readability.
While attending San Diego State University (SDSU), Shannon volunteered as a staff photographer for SDSU’s college newspaper, The Daily Aztec, photographing sports, news and entertainment events on a weekly basis.
Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University with a major in journalism and a minor in art history. She also has a certificate in portraiture and wedding photography from Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California.
