Lisa Yates

Lisa Yates is one of two principals in the firm ACS Quantum Strategies, LLC (ACS) headquartered in Sacramento, California. ACS specializes strategic planning, marketing and communications.

Lisa has been a professional facilitator for more than 12 years and has trained as a quality improvement facilitator. She is experienced at high-energy planning sessions and retreats and creates a safe and confidential environment that encourages candid and open group participation. Lisa has worked in both the public and private organizations to assist boards and leadership and staff teams in developing strategic plans, operational goals and objectives and in clarifying roles and responsibilities. She has worked with organizations of all sizes in facilitating board retreats, strategic planning, business development and operational planning teams, quality improvement teams, departmental work plans, and vision development.

Prior to forming ACS in 2001, Lisa served as a consultant in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer for Integrated Realtime Information Services, Inc., a technology company providing Web-based advocacy, communication and legislative platforms. Lisa was responsible for business development, marketing and communications.

Previous to serving as a consultant, Lisa was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the California Hospital Association (CHA) and the California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (CAHHS) for four years. In addition to managing operations and the association’s budget, Lisa was responsible for ensuring the association’s services met the changing needs of CHA/CAHHS' customer base. Before moving into the role as COO, Lisa assumed the roles of Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Grassroots and Executive Director of the California Political Action Campaign Committee. In these roles, she was responsible for coordinating and implementing several statewide grassroots campaigns and political action fundraising campaigns.

Prior to joining CHA/CAHHS, Lisa was the Director of Marketing for Health Management Services at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California. Lisa was responsible for coordinating the marketing function for Health Management Services and for increasing sales revenue. Acting in this capacity, she managed the development of marketing collaterals and business-to-business sales and promotional systems and materials.

Lisa has been a faculty member of the extension education program for Saint Mary's College in Moraga, teaching marketing and business in both the Master's program and Bachelor's program. Lisa currently serves on the Eskaton Board of Directors and served seven years on the Sacramento Children’s Home Board of Directors, most recently as President, and on the Our Lady of Grace School Board.

Lisa has a bachelor's in psychology from the University of California, Davis and a master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine, Malibu.

Lisa loves spending time with her husband, two daughters and two cats – TimmyTimmyTimmy and Jeffrey. In her spare time, she works out, reads and enjoys delectable dinners (from the Nugget).
